| I believe that the advice I provide
is generally far more valuable than the advice
provided by other tax accountants and tax lawyers.
My ability to provide valuable
advice has been sharply honed by the fact that I have spent
the past 30+ years of my career focused on nothing
but tax planning in connection with a wide range
of domestic and international tax issues. You see, unlike
the vast majority of accountants in public practice, I have
the luxury of not having to worry about preparing tax returns
and dealing with day to day tax issues. Therefore, I can focus
entirely on dealing with tax issues from a planning
perspective in a creative and authoritative way that is not
generally found in traditional accounting or law firms.
Furthermore, since I am focused on "big picture"
tax planning issues, as opposed to the minutiae of drafting
legal documents, I can usually respond to situations much
more quickly and creatively than tax lawyers.
In fact, I am very proud and flattered to
say that, because of my high level of ability, most of my
services are provided to accounting and law firms. These firms
know enough to be able to determine who has top-level
ability and who does not-and they repeatedly retain
me because they appreciate the value of my
services!
What drives me more than anything is the desire to create
innovative solutions to complex, high-dollar, tax problems.
In fact, recently, a tax lawyer in Toronto described me as
being "the most talented and creative tax accountant
in Canada"! Who am I to argue?
